Urgh, that's how all my blogs seem to start at the moment, followed by I've been poorly with x,y and z.
My current one began on Sunday night, about 4pm I sat down with T to watch a film, my tummy started cramping (period pain style, even though I'm not due on) by about 8pm, I was in agony and crying my eyes out, which shocked the Hubby as I don't really do crying.
The only way to describe the pain was like labour contractions, that's not even an exaggeration.
The fabulous in laws rushed over and stayed with T whilst Hubby took me to the emergency Drs. Did a urine sample, high levels of protein and a trace of blood, you have a water infection Mrs S here's some antibiotics.
Ta.
Came home and googled it (as you do) ummed and ahhed, I had some of the symptoms but not all, no fever, no pain when weeing.
Went to Drs for follow up the next morning, they tested a new urine sample, clear, and sent it off for further testing.
Felt very tired and weak, still in pain but not as bad, had now receeded to dull ache with occasional sharp stab.
Yesterday, just felt tired and a bit sick, but by the end of the day I felt fit as a fiddle, took dog for a walk in the gale force winds and hail stone and loved it.
This morning, pain was back but was different. Went to work, couldn't stand up straight, it hurt when I walked, I was all shaky, rang Drs for test results, all clear. Made another appointment.
Went to Drs this afternoon, cried and explained that the only way I could describe the pain was it felt like my womb was swollen, and every time something jostled against it it hurt. My insides hurt when I wee, when a pump brews, when I poo, when I sit down, when I walk...Dr had a poke of my belly, I yelled at him 'cause it huuuuurt. Dr wanted another urine sample...slight trace of blood....you have IBS, here's some pain killers and fibre juice..
Ta
Came home and googled it again, ummed and aahed, again I have some of the symptoms but not all of them.
Essentially I am a lost cause :(
If anyone has experience of a similar pain and knows what it is, pleeeeaaase let me know!
Anyways in other news:
I am now blondish, ended up deciding on an inbetweeny colour for now:
Am quite liking it :)
T had his first proper haircut this week:
He was as good as gold bless him.
His conversation is coming on in leaps and bounds, when reading his 'lift the flap books' where he has pulled some of the flaps off, he says 'I broke it' in a sad little voice. I asked him the other night if he wanted to go to bed, he toddled over, grabbed my hand and said 'ok'.
He has his teddy Monkey (pronounced Muggy), which was a gift from some of my friends when he was born and he's not slept a night without it in a year, Monkey has now become his everywhere teddy. When playing in the garden on Sunday, the inevitable happened (it made me howl laughing later) The dogs water bowl was out next to the steps, T was showing Monkey around the garden and rushed towards and yelled 'Muggy bath!' as I yelled 'nooooooooooo' and Muggy flew in a perfect arc and landed in the dog bowl...cue much crying from T as I hung Muggy out on the washing line in the sun to dry in time for bed, I was trying to convince him that Muggy was pretending to be an aeroplane and was going to have a fly for a little while.
Some impressive new words added to his vocabulary
Penguin - Pengin
Dinosaur - Saur
Aeroplane - Airplane
Helicopter - Popter
I'm also using him to find things, as I discovered a handy trick the other day when I was getting him ready to go out 'where's your hat?' I asked as most mothers do when they are looking for things, hoping that repeating that question will make the item appear where it's supposed to be. As I searched T ran off..... appearing moments later with his hat! Yaaaaaaay!
