Get Fit Feel Epic

Well as my regular readers will know, I want to look fabulous for my 30th so I'm aiming to lose a stone by August 20th.

I know I'm not a gym person so the Hubby and I have set the Wii up in the bedroom where we will be more likely to use it without disturbing the others telly time. Plus I didn't want to spend money getting fit as times are hard enough as it is and I'm very good at talking myself out of leaving the house to exercise!

I'd asked for Wii Zumba for Christmas and I tried that out first and I LOVE it! I aim to do a Full Mid Length class (45 minutes) 3 times a week. It's so much fun and I'm seriously sweaty by the end of it but I have a great buzz and loads of energy after doing it.

It's taken a while to get into a workable exercise routine and I've managed to finalise it this week:

Mon- 10 mins of Yoga, 5 minutes of muscles and 6 minutes of hula hooping on Wii fit
Tues- 10 mins of muscles, 5 of yoga and 6 mins of hula hooping. Badminton training 8-10 every Tuesday night
Wednesday- going to try a long Zumba class
Thursday- same as Monday
Friday - same as Tuesday but minus the badminton
Saturday- mid length Zumba
Sunday - mid length Zumba

So I'm exercising every day and working on posture, strength and cardio.

I haven't changed my diet yet, I was waiting till I'd established my exercise routine and just change one thing at a time.

So I'm going into my 4th week now and my results *drum roll please* I have.......put on 3lbs *sobs*

BUT I shall not quit! I am in charge not my body nor my stupid scales nor the stupid smug Wii scales who condescendingly asked me today "why have you put weight on?" I don't F$*% ing know I'm really trying you smug A*%e!!!

Ahem.

So yes not to be downhearted I shall keep persevering, if I'm not losing weight or size I must still be doing something good for something! Perhaps my body's gone into shock and clinging onto every fat cell, screaming 'nooooooooo, we were so snuggly and warm'

I shall win this war!!

  2. Wow, your regimen will guarantee you getting fit in no time, Jetta! So how is it going now? Doing Zumba on the Wii is very nice and enjoyable in the sense that you still think that you're playing an enjoyable game and taking your mind off getting tired. I hope you see the results you want soon! :)

    1. Sadly the exercise alone didn't do anything, however I joined slimming world and am now 22 lbs lighter!
